Recycled Managers

It’s been 11 years since Davey Johnson was a major league manager and it’s been 25 years since Davey led the bad guy Mets to a World Series victory. He was available last time the Nationals had a managerial vacancy but I guess something changed in the past year and now they’re certain he’s their man.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against Davey Johnson. Being a former Baltimore Oriole and a man that can handle a mustache, I’m convinced he’s a solid dude. But what I don’t get is this constant recycling of managers. I’d love to see the MLB go the way of the NFL and get a Mike Tomlin or a Raheem Morris in the mix.
